Premium Quality 14 pt Writable Business Cards
Choose from black and white or color printing for your 14 pt Writable Business Cards. Crafted on sturdy 14 pt Gloss (90 Bright C1S), these Business Cards have a substantial feel. Each one provides a writable surface on one side and a high gloss UV finish on the other. Rounded corners (1/4" radius) are optional for a refined touch.
General File Preparation Guidelines:
Download the guides provided in this folder to help achieve the best possible print results. Be sure to delete any hidden layers not intended for printing, such as setup or guide layers, to ensure the final product appears as you expect.
Submit each job as a single PDF file, even for multi-page projects. All pages must be exactly the same size. Place files in the correct orientation, following the File Orientation Guides shown in the product images.
For best results with your 14 pt Writable Business Cards, avoid borders placed too close to the trim edge. Minor variations during trimming can make borders appear uneven or off-center. Always include a 1/8" bleed, and keep all important text and artwork inside the safety margin. A larger safety margin helps protect essential elements from being cut off.
Ensure your PDF is high resolution (300 DPI) and entirely in CMYK color mode. Black text on your Business Cards should use C0, M0, Y0, K100 for the sharpest result. For larger black areas, use C30, M20, Y20, K100 to achieve a deep, rich black with no overprint issues. Smaller black text should remain a single-color black (K100) to avoid registration problems.
Embed or outline all fonts. Submit files in CMYK color mode for the best color accuracy unless your product requires RGB or PMS colors.
Thin White Text on Rich Black Backgrounds:
Small shifts can happen during print production. Thin or small white text reversed out of a rich black background is most vulnerable to color bleeding and reduced readability. Use the recommended black formula (C30, M20, Y20, K100) to limit oversaturation. Avoid formulae like C60, M60, Y60, K100 as they raise the risk of color shifting. Use thicker knockout text to maintain readability—recommended minimum line weight is 0.75pt and font size 8pt.
Apply swelling by enlarging knockout areas slightly. This helps thin white text stay sharp and clear on Business Cards after printing.
Turnaround Time:
- 100 to 1,000 Business Cards: 1 to 3 Production Days
