Genuine Evolis ribbons, cleaning kits and accessories for the Primacy 2 and Primacy 2 LCD — YMCKO color ribbons from 200 to 400 prints, monochrome ribbons up to 2,000 prints, and every ACL cleaning kit the printer takes.
Primacy 2 ribbons carry R- or N- part numbers (N- is the Easy4pro range). Primacy 2 ribbons are not interchangeable with first-generation Primacy, Zenius or Badgy ribbons, so match the part number below to what you order.

- Which ribbon does the Evolis Primacy 2 use?
- For full-color single-sided badges, the standard choice is the YMCKO ribbon R5F208A100 at 300 prints per roll. For dual-sided color-front/black-back cards use YMCKO-K R6F203A100, and for text-only badges use the black monochrome RCT223NAAA at up to 2,000 prints.
- What is the difference between R- and N- part numbers?
- N- numbers are the Easy4pro range. They are genuine Evolis consumables sold through the Easy4pro program with the same panel structure and yields as the matching R- ribbon — for example N5F208A100 is the Easy4pro version of R5F208A100.
- Are Primacy ribbons and Primacy 2 ribbons the same?
- No. Primacy 2 uses its own ribbon range, and first-generation Primacy or Zenius ribbons will not be recognized. Always match the part number printed on the ribbon core or listed above.
- How many cards does a Primacy 2 ribbon print?
- Full-color YMCKO ribbons print 200 to 400 cards depending on the part number; monochrome black prints up to 2,000. Yields assume full-panel printing on clean, graphics-quality PVC cards.
- Which cleaning kit does the Primacy 2 need?
- Run the Evolis regular cleaning kit ACL001 (adhesive cards and swabs) at each ribbon change. ACL002 is the advanced kit, ACL003 covers the cleaning rollers, ACL004 is the 'T' card kit and ACL005 is the pen kit for the printhead.
- Can I use non-Evolis ribbons in a Primacy 2?
- We do not recommend it. The printer reads a chip on genuine ribbons, and third-party consumables can damage the printhead and void the warranty — a printhead costs far more than the savings.
