General File Preparation Guidelines:

For the best results, download our business card templates in this folder. Remove any hidden layers that are not meant for print. This prevents unwanted marks and preserves the premium finish of your cards.

Submit each project, even multi-page, as a single PDF file. Make sure all pages match in size and orientation. Use our product images as a reference for backing and card orientation to maintain top business standards.

Keep borders away from the trim edge to prevent uneven lines after cutting. Always add a 1/8" bleed and keep key text and visuals inside the safety margin. Using wider margins helps ensure a polished, premium look once your cards are trimmed.

Your PDF file should be high resolution, CMYK, and 300 DPI. For crisp black text, use C0, M0, Y0, K100. For deep blacks in large areas, use C30, M20, Y20, K100. Apply K100 only to small black text to prevent misalignment. Ensure all fonts are embedded or outlined before uploading to keep your cards sharp.

Unless you require RGB or PMS, submit files in CMYK only. This ensures color consistency in premium business cards printing and keeps your brand image accurate.

Thin White Text on Rich Black Backgrounds:

Minor shifts can happen during production. Thin white text on rich black backgrounds may blur; opt for C30, M20, Y20, K100 for backgrounds and avoid heavy color builds. For lasting clarity, use thicker white knockout text to keep your cards legible.

Recommended minimum line weight: 0.75pt
Recommended minimum font size: 8pt

Slightly enlarging knockout text areas will keep sharp results. This preserves your cards’ impact and readability.
