We recommend avoiding borders in your design. Borders too close to the trim edge can appear off-center due to slight trimming variations.

Files must have a 1/8" bleed. All important text and artwork should remain within the safety margin to keep your business information intact. A larger safety margin is ideal for best results.

Ensure your PDF is high resolution, and all images use CMYK color mode at 300 DPI. For black text, use C0, M0, Y0, K100. For larger black areas, use C30, M20, Y20, K100 for a deeper tone. Single-color black (K100) is best for small text. All fonts need to be embedded or outlined.

Submit files in CMYK unless your product specifically requires RGB or PMS colors. Carefully follow these steps for true-to-design matte cards that represent your business with style.

Thin White Text on Rich Black Backgrounds:

Minor shifts may occur during printing. Thin or small white text reversed on rich black can be affected by misregistration, causing issues like color bleeding or reduced readability.

Use C30, M20, Y20, K100 for rich black backgrounds. Avoid heavier builds, which increase risks of color shifting. Also thicken knockout text, ensuring clarity.

Recommended minimum line weight: 0.75pt
Recommended minimum font size: 8pt

For best results, apply swelling to knockout areas to help compensate for minor ink spread.
