- An NFC chip and antenna are embedded in the 30 mil PVC card. A tap against a modern phone opens whatever you program to the chip — a website, contact card, booking page or payment link — with no app required.
- Can I change where the card points later?
- Yes, if you program the chip to a URL you control (for example a short link or landing page). Point the tag at a redirect you own and you can change the destination without reprinting cards.
- What size are plastic business cards?
- Standard trim is 3.5" x 2" trim, 3.75" x 2.25" with 0.125" bleed. Keep all text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line, and supply 300 DPI CMYK artwork as a press-ready PDF.
- Are plastic business cards waterproof?
- Yes. PVC does not absorb water, tear or soften, so the card survives rain, a wallet in a back pocket, and years of handling. Paper stock — even laminated — will eventually delaminate or curl.
- Can plastic cards have rounded corners, foil or a magnetic stripe?
- Rounded corners, spot foil, frosted and clear finishes, signature panels and magnetic stripes are all available on 30 mil PVC. Options vary by run size, so request a quote if you need a combination that isn't listed on the product.
- How long do plastic business cards take?
- Plan on roughly 6-8 business days after proof approval for plastic cards, plus 1-6 business days for shipping. Rush options are available on some runs at additional cost.
