- Badgy100 or Badgy200 — which should I buy?
- Both print single-sided full-color cards. The Badgy200 is the step up for slightly heavier use; the Badgy100 is the lowest-cost way to start printing badges in-house.
- What does it cost to start printing ID cards with a Badgy?
- An entry-level printer, a starter ribbon and a pack of blank PVC cards typically runs roughly $1,000–$1,500 all-in, and supplies cost well under a dollar per card after that.
- Which ribbons does a Badgy use?
- CBG consumables only: the YMCKO color ribbon CBGR0100C, the black ribbon CBGR0500K, or the CBGP0001C pack with ribbon and 100 cards. Standard R-prefix Evolis ribbons will not load.
- When should I choose a Zenius or Primacy 2 instead?
- Pick a Zenius for steady daily front-desk printing, and a Primacy 2 if you need dual-sided cards, higher volume or magnetic stripe and smart card encoding.
